Our artisan partners named this basket "Chumil," the Kaqchikel word for "star." Skillfully woven from longleaf pine needles, pajón (a native grass in Guatemala), and raffia and cotton thread with a central star design rendered in shades of purple, this basket is beautiful for display but also entirely functional.
